Friday, January 20, 2006 Pink Floyd 1973. Great 7 minute video of PF doing 'Careful with that Axe Eugene' in 1973. Its pre-The Wall Floyd with Waters and Gilmoure at the top of their game. Roger's use of vocal processing is almost crazy as the grimace he makes when singing in this song, if you could call it that. This video is clearly from the Ummagumma Floyd where the band was overdoing whatever prog-rock was supposed to be. So much gear, so much hair; entirely 70s. via musicthing.
Also: The Pleix hive mind has produced a new video called birds, which is just various dogs being thrown in the air in slow motion. With lasers. Its always nice to see the subjects of stories at Metafilter sign up and post a comment or two and answer some questions. It gets weird when the inventor of the AeroPress politely answers a question about polycarbonate plastics leaking a gas which one poster named "MonkeySaltedNuts" claims will give him man-boobs. Only on the internets.
