So long comment spam. I put in a little hack that forces all comments to put in a little security word. I'm leaving this entry up for testing.

This is a good move..but better than those images that other sites use?
Cos if was that desperate to spam here-I could also write a script to extract the word of the day and then submit it.
PS-nice blog u got..I've been following it for the last 3 years :)

Woo hoo! I feel so free when I can comment. I really hated not being able to leave links to all the hottest porn site I've found recently. Thank god those bots were doing it for me. I guess I need to get back to work now :)

You could always go with KittenAuth, the fluffy cutting edge of comment-spam countermeasures.
This seems to be working well enough so far, though -- although the post button on the preview page needs to be tweaked a bit as right now it rejects you even if you've entered the shibboleth.
