10/17/2005 Entry: "Abiword now has a grammar checker."

Abiword now has a grammar checker. Okay, so Microsoft Office has had this feature for over five years, but its nice to see it in free software. Especially considering you just can't "borrow" an Office CD anymore thanks to registration. I may start using Abiword more often now. My Office 2000 installation is just getting old.

I've been using Open Office.org at home for a while now (not that I use these types of applications all that much at home). Do you find Abiword to be better than OO.org?

Yeah, I don't usually need the entire office OO suite so I just fire up abiword, which loads up almost instantly on this machine.
