What Lollapalooza 2005 looks like through a camphone. The crowds, the heat, the price gouging, and the rip-off and annoyance that is having two bands playing at the same time was worth it to finally see Spoon and Weezer live. Easily the best live acts there. The Arcade Fire gets a close third.
If I'm so dehydrated, then why do I have to pee so badly?

Price gouging wasn't so bad - the food was reasonable and there were water fill stations all over the place. Beer was only a dollar more than at Intonation last weekend. The crowds were pretty bad but my only real gripe was the heat. I ended up collapsing towards the end of the Death Cab set last night... heat stroke is a real bitch.
I disagree with you on top acts too. I think Blonde Redhead topped it all, followed by Arcade Fire. Weezer was good and so were the Pixies but I've never really enjoyed Spoon live.

um hello? maybe you didn't get to see Dinosaur Jr. but they were, by FAR, the best act there.
here are my photos of them, and whatever else, including a couple terrible pics of me.
being on the rail in the daytime made these pics much better than I anticipated. Lou Barlow will be my hero till i die, after J mascis and thurston moore. Weezer? Saw them rock out at metro in 2000, followed by a show in a suburban roller rink. honestly, I have higher expectations for them

I saw Dinosaur Jr.
They just didn't do it for me. I mean, I know they rocked out and I know they helped to define a genre. I've just never been that into them.

Screw both of you. The best performance was me not looking annoyed and disgusted when I passed by Thax Douglas yet again, this time surrounded by some fans.
