"Once you've got Baghdad, it's not clear what you do with it. It's not clear what kind of government you would put in place of the one that's currently there.... How much credibility is that government going to have if it's set up by the United States military when it's there?.... I think to have American military forces engaged in a civil war inside Iraq would fit the definition of quagmire, and we have absolutely no desire to get bogged down in that fashion."This makes me angry. Not only did these guys know they were going to produce a quagmire, kill hundreds of soldiers (so far), kill thousands of civilians, injure tens of thousands of soldiers, etc. Man, they knew it would be a fuck up. They lied. They got their war. They even coined it a quagmire before the "so called left" did. Yet, they are neck to neck with Kerry. This isn't America. Its hard to believe it is. 60 coalition troops killed this month. That's half the number killed when Bush put on the flight suit and proudly lied "Mission Accomplished." Whoops, that's 83 deaths so far, not 60.
